One of the most dangerous species from the universe the unliving horrors known as ectonurites. These beings are paradox as they have no living energy but still exist within the living world. Instead of normal atoms or matter the ectonurites are made of ectoplasm a substance only found on afterlife. Ectonurites can manipulate the density of their ectoplasm to float, become intangible or invisible. However despite this amazing ability they have a great weakness against sunlight or heat sources as they dispersate their atoms making them just evaporate.

They also have many other abilities derivated from their ectoplasm manipulation with the most common being possesion. The ectonurites can enter bodies and take over someone by defeating the soul if they surpass the victim willpower. Many ectonurites prefer to take over dead bodies as the souls inside the living bodies can fight back, because of this many times resort to scare their living victims before triying to posses them wich is why they evolved to have such horrifying apparence.

The most powerful ectonurites can also regenerate, create sharp claws, strech their tentacles to grab stuff and manipulate ectoplasm shooting it like a laser beam or grab things from distance in a telekinetic style by creating invisible tentacles made of ectoplasm. But the most scary thing is that many of them eat souls as outside of anur phaetos that is the only reliable source of ectoplasm. Because of this many cultures asociate them to the figure of the "reaper".

Powers

Enhanced strengh: They have fire times the strengh of a human however many cannot use such strengh because their bodies are deformated.
Tentacles: The tentacles of ghostfreak can lift five tones.
Possesion: By greatly supassing someone will they can control their bodies. Strong willed victims are inmune and require to be broken which is why Zscare is such a dangerous enemy to ben in this universe.
Regeneration: Ectonurites have really fast regeneration along their ability to phase which makes them very dificult to kill. They however are really photosensible and vulnerable to heat with those injuries being hard to heal is the best of cases.
Floating: Ectonurites can float at a maximun speed of 60km/h
