is writing a story about Gil. So far, I can't wait for more at each update, seeing the way he describes the action and especially as he writes my dear little girl. In fact, seeing Gil in action, I wanted to make a cover for the story, a sketch, anything!
As Gil likes boots and jackets, a reference came to mind: Black Canary, especially the Justice League Unlimited version. Seriously, even if Wonder Woman will always be my favorite, Black Canary oozes sensuality and grace. The simple act of taking off a jacket has never been so sexy. Or misleading in Gil's case, 'cause these muscles she gracefully reveals to her opponent should be taken seriously. Another reason to give Gil this shiny reinforced leather top is that I'm seriously considering drawing Gil cosplaying as X23 and wanted to test the shading and texture of leather.
Well, if you've read this far, this scene is based on Part One, when Gil and Cliff (and tag team partner) decide to test each others' skills in a quick sparring match before the tournament starts. Gil looks like a biker with this look, even if the fastest vehicle that she is permitted to guide is a Vespa, one of the sweet things she bought with the money she made as a professional fighter

Here is a question I have had a for a long time: how are you when it comes to talking about Gil when you draw her mature like this? Like, would you be upset if we talked about her in the same terms we all talk about, say, Hilda?

I've read the story quick; the only thing is that Gil is going to have to learn to work with people; she can't always challenge other fighters to a private match; she doesn't know what they are capable of doing; and always entering tournaments doesn't mean she will win.

Gil then grabs Monty's right arm as the throws another punch and applies a Seoi Otoshi (or kneeling shoulder throw), slamming Monty head first in the ground.

Yeah, that's quite a change. But I still hope to have Gil in the role I originally wanted for her: young adventurer, a cross between Lara Croft and Tintin. Even thought of trying again as TD contestant when I watched the Ridonculous Race, since it was as good and inspiring as TDI.
