I do know John Bauer of course, but I didn't know that particular picture. Striking similarity. Always a little disillusioning to find out that what you thought to be at least marginally imaginative has been thought of long before.

Dont be discouraged by that. I think your paintings are different enough to be their own thing.
And for Bauer's fans like us, its amazing to see new and different works inspired by that.
Every artist's style and knoledge comes from somewhere.

It always lighten my heart when non-Swedes have heard about him. If it helps you feel any better, Bauer must had the same feeling when critics compared his work with Arthur Rackham and Edmund Dulac back in his days.

Not this one in particular. But I did two versions of this picture, the other one in a more warm yellowish hue. I would sell this second one. There is no qualitative difference. I just preferred the more cold version for some reason.

I don't mind it at all. Pricing depends on size and complexety. This picture, resp. the second version mentioned above, is fairly small (about 7"x5").  I'd charge 45 EUR (62 USD; 38 GBP) + shipping.
