And then there's a group of con artists (disguised as archaeologists) who want to use Randy as the prince's replacement after hearing the news that the prince's own mummy mysteriously vanished from his tomb, and then scam tourists of their money into thinking that Randy is the mummified prince.

oh yeah! but as rescue randy! and as they learn that the mummy is randy and have visits from beyond the grave to help them?

Here's some ideas so far.
Ideas for the story:
Randy, Howard, Kat and their science class go to Egypt as a class field trip to find some mummy remains and take notes of it for the human body unit in class.
First the class go visit a museum in Cairo where the director gives the class a tour to the Egyptian exhibit.
Randy, Howard and Kat saw a large piece of stone that has some colorful hieroglyphics on it. They were both shocked and surprised, mostly Randy, to see an Egyptian painting of Randy wearing some sort of royal Egyptian attire and is holding a crook and flail in front of his chest. Howard and Kat joked that Randy made history, although Randy begins questioning himself.
The director briefly tells the class about the ancient Egyptian prince named Riei (whom Randy bears a slight resemblance to because of the purple hair), his whole life and how he was poisoned by his vizier (whom Stevens bears a slight resemblance to)
Julian tells Randy that he might be the reincarnation of Prince Riei while Debbie Kang insisted that it was just some dumb luck and implies that Randy and Riei are not the same person because they're from different time periods. The class leave the museum and prepare to set up the camp near the pyramids and Prince Riei's tomb. Mrs. Driscoll tells the class that they're gonna see Prince Riei's tomb and take note of his history tomorrow morning.
In the streets of Cairo, three con artists (one who is an elderly woman, one who is tall and skinny and one who is short and fat) took notice of Randy walking with his friends and finds him bearing a slight resemblance to Prince Riei. They walk up to the class, pretending to be their tour guides. Mrs. Driscoll decided to hire them as they set off to visit Riei's tomb. Randy, Howard, and Kat took notes that the con artists couldn't be trusted and that they're up to something.
A local began spreading rumors that Prince Riei's mummy had mysteriously vanished overnight, much to everyone's shock. This gives the con artists an idea to use Randy as Riei's replacement. They bought a perfume from a local merchant who tells the con artists that the perfume can cause someone to sleepwalk upon sniffing it, but the sleepwalking only occurred once the victim falls asleep. The con artist began using the perfume on Randy.
Upon arriving the site, Randy, Howard and Kat are beginning to set up their tent when the elderly woman con artist walked up to Randy, wearing the perfume all over her, and tells him that she reminds him of
Prince Riei and that she thinks he and Riei are one and the same. Taking Debbie Kang's words from earlier, Randy tells the woman that he's not Riei and that it's just some dumb luck. The woman didn't believe him, but gives in when Howard and Kat starts getting suspicious of her.
Before the elderly woman leaves, Randy complimented on how nice her perfume is and how it smelled like beautiful lotus flowers. He asked her why she couldn't smell the perfume and she replies that she lost the ability to smell years ago after inhaling smoke while getting trapped in a burning building. Little did Randy know that the elderly woman's plan to get Randy to sniff the perfume is working.
At nighttime, the class all get some rest, but Randy ends up getting restless nightmares where he's in Riei's place, first getting poisoned by Riei's vizier in the bed chambers and then mummified alive and placed in a sarcophagus by Egyptian priests. The perfume then began taking its effects on Randy as he, still asleep, gets up and walks out of the tent, in his sleep. This causes Kat and Howard to wake up and follow their sleepwalking friend.
Howard and Kat then find the sleepwalking Randy entering Riei's tomb. But by the time Howard and Kat enter the tomb, Randy was nowhere to be found. They proceed to enter, but Mrs. Driscoll, now fully awake, stops them. Howard and Kat explained to Mrs. Driscoll that Randy had been sleepwalking and unwillingly thinks that he's Riei and is heading to the prince's burial chamber. After hearing their story, Mrs. Driscoll allows Howard and Kat to find Randy, but she's coming along with them to make sure they don't get into trouble.
Meanwhile in the tomb, Randy, who is still sleepwalking, gets captured by the con arists and they take him to Prince Riei's burial chamber where they began mummifying him alive. But just as they were about to put him in the sarcophagus, Randy snaps out of his sleepwalking state and is now aware of what's going on. Unfortunately for him, the con artists have already completed their plan and placed him in the sarcophagus anyways, but they forgot to close it once they decided to leave him.
Howard, Kat and Mrs. Driscoll continued to find Randy. Kat ends up finding Riei's burial chamber before either Howard or Mrs. Driscoll can. Randy hears Kat's voice calling for him, so he tries to get her attention. Kat eventually finds him mummified inside the sarcophagus and helps him out of the bandages. Randy explains to Kat on how he ended up in Riei's sarcophagus, though Kat fills him in.
As Randy and Kat leave the burial chamber, they walk past the grand mirror which shows Riei's reflection in place of Randy's. Randy and Kattook notice of it and were both shocked to see Riei's reflection in place of Randy's own reflection. Out of nowhere, Julian walks into the burial chamber and informs Randy and Kat that Randy and Rieu are actually one and the same - Randy's the reincarnation of Riei after all.
As the three teens leave, they saw Howard and Mrs. Driscoll who are relieved to see the teens as the four teens and the teacher finally leave Riei's tomb for the night. As they leave, Kat wondered if the prince's mummy is Randy all along and no one had even bother to check the prince's mummy all these years, or just some dumb luck as the prince's spirit ended up being inside Randy, but it's still implied that Randy is Riei's reincarnation,
