Description
My original value sketches had this as a much darker, somewhat spookier image, but the apple blossoms just started blooming again today, and spring and light always ultimately win against darkness.I tried to make the unicorn look more "ethereal" by not outlining it in ink. It sorta worked, but next to the white blossoms it may have come out too blue.
Ink, watercolor and colored pencil on bristol.

I like the bluish cast of the figure. It does give it an other-wordly quality, and draws the eye.

Well, I don't think the unicorn is too blue. It's colour differs just perfectly from the dark ground. It shows that the unicorn and the flowers are both alive, compared to the rocks and the ground

I agree with you that the blue doesn't quite go, but everything else I love! He does look very etherial and soft, and very unicorn-like in his non-specific-animal shape (deer, goat, foal, I see them all).

I love how you do landscapes. I don't know I just love how you do them and then fit them in with your unique looking unicorns.... It makes everything feel so nostalgic.

I like how you decided to outline and color the unicorn in a blue-ish tone; it really stands out now.
I also really love how you draw your unicorns not as just a horse with a little horn but as they're supposed to be.
