Reason for entering: Want to help Hex find a way to use his ability safely without risk of death
Strengths: They're a really speedy runner and a quick thinker
Abilities: Can manipulate plants at will. Neb finds vines to be the easiest, so if there are any in the area they'll lean towards that. They can only manipulate plants at a distance of 20-10 feet. It highly depends on how much they've used the power already. If they use it too much the range of their power can shrink below 10. At most, they can move plants for a minute before needing to take a short break.
Weaknesses: Using their ability can wear them out and cause migraines when used for too long. Neb tends to panic easily, clouding their judgment and causing them to freeze up. Neb is rather frail and bad at dodging attacks, they get injured often. They're very physically weak and relies heavily on their power. They're never really had to worry about physical strength up until now. Neb is terrified of heights, They like to stay closer to the ground where they feel safe. When high enough Neb becomes very dizzy and may fall off of what they're stood on.

Personality: Really optimistic, friendly, and curious! Neb and Hex have never left their garden before and have never seen any other living creature besides other gnomes. So, Neb is really excited to meet others and learn about them! When going to a new area, they'll search every kook and cranny for as much new stuff as they can possibly find. Due to their naive and friendly nature, they won't be able to spot red flags when they see them.
History: The forest was known as the Garden. Neb and Hex have lived in it for all of their lives, exploring and having fun. When Hex was diagnosed with a rare disease, Neb was devastated. They promised Hex that they'd help him find a cure, but when none was found in the Garden, Neb convinced Hex to leave the safety of the forest to find a cure.

Likes: Hex! Rain(the plants are being watered!!), plants, and new things!!
Dislikes: Hex using his power, Deserts(no rain : (... ), and heights(He's farther away from the plants!!)

  • Neb and Hex's speak to each other in their native language, Neb knows a little common but not much so it's pretty choppy

Reason for entering: Hex can turn themselves to stone, but the more they do it the longer it takes for them to turn back. Hex doesn't want to meet this fate, so they'll fight if they have to.
Strengths: Hex is really sneaky and a great hider
Abilities: When they turn to stone they are invincible! The assumed time they can be stone before they're unable to turn back is five hours. After that, there's a high impossible chance of them not coming back.
Weaknesses: Hex is completely immobile when they're stone. If they become unable to turn back, then they die.  they're very physically weak when not in stone mode. When they come back from being stone, their immune system becomes very weak. It's pretty rare for Hex not to be sick after turning to stone. With a weak immune system and them leaving the safety of their home. Hex is highly susceptible to illness and diseases that aren't found in the Garden. Hex gets tired easily, they can't walk far distances without taking several breaks along the way. Severe claustrophobia, you cannot drag them into small spaces without drugging them first. Their claustrophobia causes them to hyperventilate when forced into small spaces and become extremely disoriented and nauseous.

Personality: Hex is a little spitfire. They have a fiery temper and are not afraid to unleash it upon others. Neb usually holds them back and keeps them from doing anything too stupid. Hex is really easy to fluster and Neb takes full advantage of that(they think it's cute). They tend to be a little overprotective of Neb, often keeping close to them and looking out of anything suspicious. Hex doesn't stop them from doing much but fears they may find something dangerous. 
History: Hex was born with the rare condition that's slowly killing them now. It wasn't noticeable when they were younger but as they grew older it became more of a problem. Neb promised them that they would help them find a cure when Hex was first diagnosed with the rare disease. The disease attacks them only when they're turned to stone, making them sick and take a while to turn back. When Hex is unable to turn back, it means they've lost the battle with the disease.   

Likes: Neb!! Forest(Reminds them of home), and rocks
Dislikes: Having to turn to stone and Anything new
Other: 
  • Hex understands common but has a hard time speaking it so they just don't bother and speak their native language instead.

Hi, Cinder! Good to see you again.


Neb and Hex need some edits before we accept them.


We need more information on Neb’s plant manipulation ability; how long can he use it for at a time? Ideally this would be a minute or less, and we also need to know how far of a range he can manipulate plants in, which shouldn’t be more than 30 feet from his body at most.


Right now he is unbalanced; the migraines he experiences are a limitation on his ability rather than a true weakness. His physical weakness counts, but he needs two more weaknesses to be balanced.


Hex has similar issues; we need more information about his stone-turning ability. How long can it last at a time without him being unable to turn back? 


He also needs two more weaknesses to be balanced as like Neb, his immobility while being turned to stone is a limitation rather than a true weakness.


However you mention that he’s sick after he turns to stone; this should also be mentioned as a limitation to the strength though it cannot count as a true weakness unless the symptoms are consistently present even when he has not recently turned to stone.

Neb looks good now, but Hex still needs 1.5 more weaknesses as being sickly after coming back from stone is conditional and relies upon him doing that. He needs another full weakness like his physical frailty and at least one more conditional one, though it may also be a full one.

I'm going to accept them, since they are both balanced now!

However, it would be helpful if you added what effects Hex's claustrophobia actually has on him when he experiences it; does he freeze up, or experience dizziness or something that? It would be useful for opponents to know!
