I saw this bird sitting in the tree. The wind was blowing really hard and it was starting to rain. He was having a hard time sitting there. I saw a couple of other birds fly up and try to land and couldn't. So I grab my camera and took some shots of him. I got this one just as he took off, I guess he gave up trying to sit there. The poor little guy was being blown all over. I liked how this shot came out. Taken 4-16-11.Other bird shots:

I see you are getting the hang of `in flight` pics...the bird is pretty sharp,you just need a blue sky and a Raptor and you are sorted

Thanks, The blue sky is a little hard to come by right now as all we have been getting is rain for like two weeks. And the raptor, I missed a great shot of one on my way home from work. He was caught in a wind currant and he was like just frozen in one spot in the sky. He had his wings stright out trying to glide by was not going anywhere. Then he started flapping his wings and but his head down and still could not get out of the one spot he was in. He was kind of low too as he was below the tree line. I was like where is my bloody camera when there is a great shot. Oh, did you notice your have me sounding like you now.

I work in a casino and we are not allowed to bring cameras into the building. And I don't want to leave it in the car for someone to steal.
