This is a still-life. This child is really a styrofoam ball on a wooden stick in pants, shoes, and a sheet. It creeps me out and I've been trying to capture its creepiness as best I can.

My mother brings him out every Halloween and keeps him near the front door. He just looms there, staring... and every time I walk by him, I SWEAR he's a real child.

One day, it is going to be a real child and I will forever be scarred.
