If I could remember correctly, that is true with charizards and solar beams. XD Anyways, my fave duo - Captain and Vice captain of my Nuzlocke Team. I love this adorable style and the showcase of brotherly affections. It's amazing.

It's true, Charizards can learn solar beam. Adds a really nice advantage if they're up against water types.
Yeah, I knew I wanted these two starts from the very beginning! But holy shit, how do you people do Nuzlocke hallenges with X/Y? With all the previous games I played I got too attached to my pokemon, in X/Y it's ridiculous. I'd cry. I'd just cry. Can't do it, nope.
Too many headcanon ideas for personalities and all that unnecessary junk.

I don't know about everyone else but I do get emotional with all my runs. I imagine myself as the very character and commentate/voice my thoughts as I play. I've all ready lost four pokemon and the last one was one of my best. My scoliopede (Vinyl) would pass on his stats Sp./Defenses and health to roselia (Ernest) and he would turtle like no tomorrow with poison point, rocky helmet, a health absorbing attack, and the rest of his moveset would be like Petal dance/blizzard and cut (cause I needed a pokemon w/ that Hm to get to those freebies laying about). Now, Vinyl's pretty lonely after losing such a bro to Lysandre's Gyrados. He avenged him of course. Yes, too many characters to bring to life from a pokemon! I caught a Pumpkaboo that later evolved into a gourgeist, and he is sass clown I tell ya.

Oh man.
Coming up with such things make me feel like such a geek, but it's so fun too.
I could go on for days about all the stuff I accidentally came up with (I never intentionally sit down and go 'welp time to come up with individual personalities for everyone', it just happens), but uh.. Yeah, I guess there's nothing wrong with it, really. It just enriches the experience.
It seems like Nuzlocke challenges would be all the more immersive, but man, I just wouldn't be able to emotionally handle it. It''d bug me for weeeks if I lost a pokemon I'd gotten attached to.
