Jeez. It blows my fuckin mind how much better my pictures turn out if I don't consciously put forth effort.

This is Maddalynn (we just call her Maddy), one of my vampires. She's like.. a spazz/punk/wanna-be-mad-scientist-without-the-science. She's Cassius' like.. pseudo younger sister.

I forgot how to draw girls, so I went out of my way to spit one out, and she was the first to come to mind.

Anyway. If I ever got off my lazy ass and wanted to do a manga, I'd do it about and my's vampire kids, cus it'd be easy to translate it into an actual plot and be interesting. It'd be like.. supernatural/action/romance/humor. xD And When I started drawing, I decided I wanted to do something like.. manga-cover-style. So I thought about it for a while, and figured that if I were to make this manga, I'd want to call it "Black Sheep Brood". We all know what the term 'black sheep' is; odd-balls, freaks, weirdo's. 'Brood' is the term for a 'family' of vampires, that live/hunt/whatnot together. It was catchy and fit, so I went with it.

This picture came out a lot nicer than I thought it would. Different from my original intentions, but really nice. My favorite part is the skin, especially the upper chest/collar bone area. For some reason, I decided that for this picture I'd start with the base color of the shading, and then add the lighting instead of starting with a base and then doing the shading/highlighting. It worked out real well, so maybe I'll do it more often.

Um. that's about it I guess. Dawn/inked on paper, colored in PS. The patterns on the clothes were from stock.

Yes, that plushy sheep has a noose around it's neck.
