I love creating 'responses' to artwork... especially pieces that I've done ages ago. I did this piece because I really love the feel of Haunted [link] and I wanted to recapture that same feeling this Halloween. So I present to you Idée Fixe, which is a French term for phobia.

And speaking of those dual x's upon the pointer finger--the same symbolism that connects this piece to Haunted--as I finished this up I could image both this girl, as well as the boy in Haunted hiding out in some shoddy apartment with stone walls and cement floors and a big black X painted over their door. Perhaps it would be in Paris, and perhaps rather than yelling 'bring out your dead' they'd yell 'lock up the damned.'

...sounds like a good Halloween story if I ever heard one.
