I love creating 'responses' to artwork... especially pieces that I've done ages ago. I did this piece because I really love the feel of Haunted [link] and I wanted to recapture that same feeling this Halloween. So I present to you Idée Fixe, which is a French term for phobia.And speaking of those dual x's upon the pointer finger--the same symbolism that connects this piece to Haunted--as I finished this up I could image both this girl, as well as the boy in Haunted hiding out in some shoddy apartment with stone walls and cement floors and a big black X painted over their door. Perhaps it would be in Paris, and perhaps rather than yelling 'bring out your dead' they'd yell 'lock up the damned.'
...sounds like a good Halloween story if I ever heard one.

FABULOUS. I think the only thing I could possibly say about it (and I feel so evil for doing so because this picture is SOOOOOO amazing) is that her thumb sort of defies the laws of anatomy.

I love the mood of this picture and how soft ans smooth the shading is as well. It gives flavor to the whole piece. The thumb looks a bit odd, but I still think it's a great piece. Great job.

hey this is awesome. and idee fixe is a term also used to describe something (a tune or picture) that is meant to mean something....uh, like andrew lloyd webers tune to signal the "cat" in cats. cool huh? phobia and something that sticks with you.

I love this. It works so well with Haunted. I like how it seems more subtle. With Haunted, I guess it's the expression, it just leaps out at me. This one seems much quieter.

It was quite clear who drew this before i even clicked on to see. Your style screams you all over, which is something i respect in an artist. Very impressive work. Theres a great sense of realism here. The soft shading is balanced very well through out this characters features. Very impressive work

I love her hand, it's very smooth. I like that there aren't a lot of detailed things, but if they are, you notice them.

Even though you did a great job on Haunted I preffer this one. I can see that you are getting better are doing what you like to do, it shows through your work.
And I can't say this enough for your work but you capture the human shapes so well. its amazing. I like that you maintained the Xs and the drawing over all is beautifull. I think you could of done a better job in making the thumb but over all its really good.

the eyebrow is realistic cause its not perfect just a stunning idea. the eyeshadow looks very real. the eye is so exquisite, stunning. the realism is completely beautiful.

You made it creepy without the blood 'n' guts and gimmicks. That makes it even better, in my opinion.
That said, I love how smooth the skin looks. Something about it makes it glow.
