Tralala. Okay, uh... Marilyn Manson. I'm not a huge fan, though I have my moments. Either way, I saw this out-of-focus choppy picture of him and absolutely had to put it to paper. I'd say it was a success. This was by far one of my most experimental pieces to date. I took a few artistic liberties by adding the " marks, the handprints (which are mine, yes, and done in white chalk), and the little saying at the bottom that I simply pulled out of my head. It might be a tad hard to read (purposefully) but for those who are curious it says "And tomorrow I shall save myself."I didn't do it on purpose, but the handprints really show just how big the piece is. For some reason I'm diggin' that.

Yeah. Manson isn't my favorite, but there's just something about the man that fascinates me. He makes a great model when it comes to artwork.

I find some of his music good, but more than that, I like some of his outfits and videos, they seem so artistic (eg. Coma White)

ok, so i'm not going to say "woooooooow, it's so realistic, i knew it was manson right away!" cos that's not what i actually like from the drawing, i like the artistic quality on it, i like all the stuff you added, the fact that you put a quote on there and fingerprints are very original, you've such a great imagination and talent, and that's why i'm giving this one a

Awh, thank you. Yeah, when it comes to pictures like that (where everyone knows it's a reference and they've seen it somewhere else) simply duplicating it seems like a waste. Putting originality into it is the challenge. I'm glad you could appreciate it for that.

It isn't a waste, no, but it does lack a bit of originality. No matter, I've seen some 'unmodified' photo references and they're truly stunning, so it all depends on the quality of work.
