There are plenty of them? That's what I hear.

At some point along the road, I subconsciously decide that I want one. Why not? I like fish. And they say there's plenty. I should be able to get one.

So like any human I get a boat and a rod, and I go out to some water and start to fish. I bring my creativity along with me, because I know she'll be invaluable company on this lonely trip of mine. At least one of us'll have to catch something, somehow!

Our boat is small. Not everyone has the same boat; some have yachts, and some only have rafts... which makes me glad that I have a boat at all, even if it isn't a yacht.

my friend creativity and I settle on a little lake and I cast out my heart. Admittedly, I may have chosen fairly empty spots on purpose. Sometimes catching fish can be unnerving. You're never completely sure if you know what you're doing the first time you try. I had mentors, but they were in their own boats elsewhere; I was on my own in this environment (or at least with someone who only had as much experience as I did).

We sat there for years without any luck. I chose all the wrong spots, didn't cast great enough, and miscalculated. At times I skipped days and months and simply sat in my boat, doing other things. And all too many times I tried to reel in the wrong kind of fish, failing before any capture could even be hoped for. Creativity grew tired and impatient. One day she questioned why I even bother. "Why are you still doing this anyway?" she complained. "You've done just fine without one this far! And you've got me don'cha? You probably don't need any of these fish!"

She's probably right.

...But then why won't I take my line out of the water yet?! 8|

Happy Valentines Day

it's a little bittersweet for the singles eh? There's hope! But not today XD that is the message I bring.
Also It should be noted that the girl in the boat is YUI, who I'm officially using to represent my mental imaginative creativity stuffness. She is not a love interest of any sort because I always found romantic relationships with your own OCs to be kinda creepy and pitiful <|D
she's just a living part of my artist-brain is all! Who is a girl. Because. Okay.
