Description
So we're reaching the point in these out-of-the-normal-story storytelling where we can't ignore the massive, yet somehow still subtle, background element to the worldbuilding (and I'm slowly running out of things to use to stall for time as I write the next book...).Just like in real life, there is a market for just about everything, and if that isn't because there are a note worthy amount of buyers, then it's because there are people who are good enough to sell anyone anything.
And just like in real life, if you have few or no morals, you stand to make some serious cash in certain markets , catering to certain clientele .
As a result, certain merchants in certain fields not only have a lot of coin to throw around, as well as to make more, they have a lot of power too. After all, money is (another form of) power, and if you're making a lot of it in a field where you also wield power then you more or less have double the influence.
