I wanted to draw what the characters' home looks like c: I still suck at drawing backgrounds haha

I'm kinda fleshing out the rules for the universe and everything even though I won't do the comic. It's fun to think about. The mud huts each house a family until the kits are old enough to leave. Parents are not always close to their kits since they become independent so quickly (they usually forget them), but it isn't impossible for a kit's parents to check in with their young and love them as they grow older. There are different jobs a cat can take on: doctor, gatherer, traveler (they travel out and explore different regions in groups and bring back information), hunter, hut builder, etc. From there they are usually mentored by an older cat within that profession and are taught everything they need to know.

Still sorta figuring out how the leadership would work, but I like the idea of it being a council of several leaders who make collective decisions. I'm putting way too much thought into this cat society lol
