yah thats the Falken's COFFIN system (connection for flight interface, also named that way as the pilot is surrounded by armour instead of a glass canopy) which screens inside of the aircraft to display a full 360' view to give better situational awareness. Later versions also had a brain to aircraft control interface hence the name. [link]

humm maybe, it could be based on it as a UAV version of the Falken appeared with it in Ace Combat 2 back on the PS1. I just like to think its a load of different types of visual sensors so that the hunter does not become the hunted.
