Description
I've had the idea of making a variable wing version of the Falken for ages but have only now decided to try drawing it.

I partly got the idea off the YF-19 / VF-19 from Macross although before that I was thinking the wings would sweep forward more like the F/A-37 Talon from the film Stealth or the X-02 Wyvern.

The resemblance to the XFA-27 was pure coincidence and was an unintended side effect.

Left is the standard Falken shape which is this ones High-G Manoeuvrability Mode, Centre is an STOL mode for maximum lift and right is the Supersonic / Hypersonic Configuration.

This Variant also supports VTOL capabilities with the balancing vertical thrusters housed behind the shutters near the centre of the aircraft.
