Personality: Playful/Sassy/Over-Dramtic/Headstrong/Kind/Curious/Withdrawn

Playful: As any cub, Matu is very playful. She won't be able to settle down for long, as her attention span isn't all that great. But she can focus if she's playing a game that she likes.

Sassy: Matu can be real sassy, especially when it comes to her big sister, Kibanzi. She is a cheeky cub, and when in a mood can be very insolent with her words. She will back talk her sister, but not her mother.

Over-Dramatic: Matu can be very over-dramatic, just to get the attention that she wants. She'll turn a little cut, into making it sound like a gash made from a lion. Because of this, this makes a few cheetah's wonder if anything she says has any truth to it at all. Not that she lies, but from the way she over dramatizes everything that she says.

Headstrong: Matu is headstrong, and will challenge anyone head on. She doesn't care if the odds aren't in her favor. She'll do it anyways. It's cause of this, that she started walking earlier than her siblings, though she still has trouble in that department at times.

Kind: Though she's sassy, brash and headstrong, Matu has a kind side. A side she get's from watching her mother and Paa work on patients. When she see's anyone in any kind of pain, her voice goes soft and she tries to find a way to help them in any way she can. She's gentle while she does this, acting like a completely different cub.

Curious: Like any cub, Matu has the curiosity of one. She is always asking questions, and always sticking her nose into things when she shouldn't. She wants to learn about everything, and anything. She is more curious of the Coalitions...

Withdrawn: Matu may not act like it, but she is a little withdrawn from her family. Because of her being without a leg, she feels different. She doesn't feel normal, because she doesn't look normal. And because of this, Matu actually feels detached from her family and friends.

History:

~Before I was born~

A healer from Sunning Rocks, known as Kokoto had arrived with her Tribe in new lands. Thrust into a small area, being forced to comply to the Coalitions for now that dominated the land before them, she wasn't aware that her new life would start.

A gray colored tom, called Nyeupe Alfajiri ya Simba from the Nguvu Coalition thought it unfair, putting all the Tribes in such a small land. But he didn't speak against his leader, in fear of causing a fight. Simba did not know he'd fall for a beautiful healer.

They had literally bumped into each other, and at first sight Simba was hooked. He believed her to be the most beautiful thing on the planet. It might have taken till their second meeting, but Kokoto was starting to like Simba. They talked plenty, wanting to get to know more of each other and their lives. But they were cautious. The Tribes and Coalitions were at war. And Kokoto feared that she was putting her late's mate memory to shame for liking another tom. They tried to keep away, but Simba asked for just a night. A night and a morning to be with her. She agreed. Neither thinking their actions would create something. With heavy hearts, after Simba trying to teach her to fish, they parted. With a promise that should the war, and fighting stop, they would try to be with each other.

However it became apparent to Kokoto that she was carrying. She had to tell Simba, and when she had he had been estatic! He was excited to be a father, and promised to watch over them all their days from afar. It would be up to Kokoto on if she wanted to tell their cubs who their father is or not.

Matumaini was born without a leg. A generic trait that appears in a cub from her father's side every now and then. At birth she was the loudest, mewing and wanting to be cleaned and fed and warm. A few were worried that she wouldn't be able to function properly. But as she opened her eyes, she tried to walk. She was determined to outdo her other siblings....

The sun was up, signalling a new day. Brown and blue eyes looked over the plains in the direction where his mate and cubs were living. How he longed to go and be there for them. To protect them. But they still needed to be careful. They couldn't let it be known he was in a Coalition. Or he'd get his mate in trouble. Simba sighed as the sun continued rising, and he headed out to see if he could catch something. He didn't want to let Nguvu know anything was up... He already saw the suspicion in his eyes at times...
