I tried to make some cool fanart about Amata Almodovar and the Lone Wanderer from Fallout 3 videogame. This is my 'Lone Wanderer' Thomas having a moment of despair. Amata is comforting him.It's tough to be the 'Lone Wanderer'. First he is kicked out of his home, then he loses all his family and is left all alone in the horrible Wasteland. How could anyone mentally survive that? In my version of the story his best friend Amata exits the Vault with him and supports him through all this. I got the idea from the 'Brisa companion' -mod that I use.
I'm learning to paint digitally. This is my third entirely digital painting and the first in which I used any extra layers. I made this with Gimp in 6.2011

Of course not, certainly...lol. Btw I just read the chapters 1 and 2, even though I've already read them and liked them once earlier, but that was long time ago when I didn't yet like Amata a lot. And... I'm ABSOLUTELY loving it! The escape from the vault was very well written, and the characters' actions and behaviour were very credible and humane. But you wrote those chapters long time ago and I guess you've already gotten tons of reviews, so I won't post any more of it here. I'll read on.

Well, I suppose it's because I'd rather finish the story first before I comb through each chapter, looking for more mistakes and correcting them. Always thought it would keep me busy for a little while after I was done with it.

Awesome! And kudos for using Gimp! It's a fantastic piece of software and I just can't see the benefit of using Photoshop over it. The shading and detail put into this picture is fantastic!

Thanks! Gimp is a bit clumsy with some things but is very light and flexible and easy to use (+ free) program. I've never even used Photoshop

I used Photoshop once or twice before a friend of mine told me about gimp. It almost completely scared me away from photo-manipulation and digital art! lol But everyone's different. Anyway, well done on this picture!
