Description
Annette was one of the first Splatoon OCs I made other than Inka, Amadeus and Octavia, but I haven't properly drawn her until now. Annette was particularly difficult because I had the idea of what I wanted to draw, but the outfit and her hairstyle, as well as the color scheme I wanted to go with was difficult to figure out. I think I achieved the cute yet bubbly and energetic look I wanted.~*~*~*~
Annette (Inkling; 16 years old)
Annette is one of Inka and Amadeus Ink's longest standing friends. She and Daisy have been best friends since their youth; and they're usually not seen in public without one another. Annette is easily exciteable and full of energy 95% of the time, usually spreading cheer and positivity with her smie and her movements. However, she's very emotional and is not afraid to cry or lose her tmper in public. It may end up causing a scene, but Annette doesn't care. Her drama queen tendencies tend to blow things out of proportion, much to the dismay of her friends and everyone else.
Despite that Annette has a generally carefree and ignorant attitude to important events going on in Inkopolis (unless its the Splatfest), she is always aware of fashion trends, music and celebrities, and tends to like things because they're popular. An example of this is how she shifted from being a Squid Sisters fan to an Off The Hook fan. Sure, she still likes the Squid Sisters' music, but they aren't as popular in Inkopolis Square as they are in Inkopolis Plaza. Annette transitioned to Inkopolis Square because its more hip, and as result, she likes Off The Hook because they're more popular now. Inka and Daisy dislikes Annette's tendencies to lack loyalty to idols and bands. Annette isn't very good at battling, but at least tries to keep her fashion game on point despite not being skilled. She used to play a Roller/Splattershot, and still does, but her main weapon nowadays is the Splatbrella.
Other:
- Annette will hold grudges if people insult her favorite idol group/or if they do something similar to what qualifies as an "insult"
- She tolerates Octavia, but doesn't like her or understand her. Why Inka and Amadeus are friends with her is beyond Annette's sense of disbelief.
- Though Daisy and Annette are almost always seen together, the few times they're actually not together is when Daisy is off working at a crew at Grizzco with Inka, Octavia and Amadeus. Annette doesn't see the appeal of the job, and it really freaks her out, so she just waits outside until Daisy comes back to Inkopolis Square.

I really like Annette's palette too. Drawing her hair and coloring it was my favorite part, and it still reminds me of bubblegum.
