Description
I do quite a lot of pixel art; I just don't submit it. My first pixel art submissionThis will probably be my new avatar. It's a compass! I love compasses. If I were in Inception, my totem would be a compass. Yes.
This thing has got so many colours that I think I'd puke if I had to count. And I had to go and manually mix them.
The shadow and light were also pixelled, by the way; I colour-to-alpha'd.

Ooh, this is really good! I could never get it looking so nice; it's exquisitely detailed. The shadows and colours are great too! Nice as your avatar

Thank you! (sorry for the late reply--I must have missed it!) I love compasses so much, though I'm quite certain I could have done a better job with the shiny effect.

Ohhhh I love the colour scheme. It feels like a warm autumn afternoon in an old wooden house's library. Everything is wooden and brown :>>>
What's colour-to-alpha'd?

You convert lightness of colour to its corresponding transparency. So for shadows, the umbrae are opaque, and the penumbrae are semi-transparent.

Imagine you pixel a shadow with black, 50% grey and white. You go to your "colour-to-alpha", and it nicely lets you convert your pixel thing to transparency according to colour. You can set it such that white = transparent, and as such your grey will be converted to 50% transparency, and your black = opaque.

*Droops*
I sort of... expected it. It's okay; I'm fine. I'm dealing with it. No trauma here.
