Description
  The hunt was going well. Until it didn't. All its parts were broken, its stamina low. The Red Khezu was nearing its end. But then a burst of electricity meant for Sophie struck Chomper instead, stunning him. Sophie herself mistimed a tail swipe and was sent flying across the cave. unfortunately, as this happened Mitchell woke up and pushed on the lid to his basket. Opening it enough that the baby came tumbling out as his mother rolled along the ground.

Surprised at what had happened Mitchell looks around to see what was going on. His eyes already adjusted to the dim light of the cave the baby saw the Red Khezu. He had no idea what it was but he did know it scared him and he needed to get to mamma. But where was mamma? The blind monster sniffed the air and takes note of the tiny creature that appeared. exhausted and hungry the Khezu saw a perfect opportunity to regain some energy and so it begins to stalk its prey.

  Managing to get her footing Sophie looks towards the monster but sees her son in between her and the beast. He's only a few yards away but the Strange Wyvern closing in on him. "Mitchell!!!" she shouts in a panic. She grabs her Emperor Thundersword as she scrambles to get going. Mitchell turns to the sound of her"s voice. "Mamma!" The baby cries as he turns and starts crawling to her as fast as he can. She can see tears in his eyes and the fear in his voice as he continues to call to her. Getting to Mitchell first Sophie tried to place the pointed end of her weapon between her son and the monster. undeterred the Blank Stare continues its charge.

WHAM! Both the Khezu and Mitchell's mother were so focused on the child that neither one heard the scraping of sharp nails across the stone floor. Having shaken off the electric attack Chomper without warning lunges at the monster attacking those who he cares for. The claws of his left forearm embedded into the Strange Wyvern shoulder, his razor-sharp teeth puncturing its neck. The Khezu is dead before it even hits the ground. Releasing the vanquished foe from his jaws the Tigrex hears his young companion's sniffling sobs.

   Now in her arms, Mitchell buries his head into the neckpiece of her mother's armor. "Mamma. Sniff! Mamma." He sobs. "Shh. Shh. I'm here sweet boy. I'm right here." Sophie does her best to calm him, but she was trembling herself. Leaving the slain beast the Tigrex walks over the Monster Rider and child. Once he's close he sniffs Mitchell to see if he's OK. It takes a moment but the baby comes to realize that sound is coming from his giant friend. Lifting his head up he murmurs his attempt to say the Tigrex's name "Choo-Choo!" He reaches out to pet the Monster on the nose. Chomper snorts allowing the boy to touch him. A minute later Sophie regained her composure then looks at her mount "We are done here." Chomper nods in agreement since he didn't have a taste for Khezu anyway. Still carrying Mitchell with one arm the three of them exit the cave.
