Description
Hi, today I want to touch on the topic of "chaotic architecture" which I think is a very essential part of how I begin my building process in some cases. So what I mean with chaotic architecture is not a type of building or a theme like how I use the word "organics". It's a way of starting your buildings where you don't focus on the details but rather the broader picture.
And I often baffle myself with how this way of building fits in on me while still being so contradicting cause of all the detail and randomness I apply in most of my patterns, yet still reading at a whole.
So what does it mean? The building above is something that took me about 5 hours to make and while you might think that's crazy, really it's just basic shapes repeated over and over bashed together to get something authentic and original. If I had zoomed in you would be surprised of how messy this building is.
e.g. Some of the pillars are different sizes where they are supposed to be symmetric, but because they are seen from a far in the big picture you cant tell the difference.
The top part is just a cluster of different smaller pillars that have been rotated around the center piece of the roof.
So how can you use this to your advantage? Very large structures can be created in a few days and when you're happy with the shapes you can go back and fill in and clean up the design.
Ok so that's it for now, have a good day, bye

it really can be done in a few days... i've been telling people this all the time when it comes to some of my more favored works by people of larger mass. "i can't make that in years" me: "this took me from a few hours to few days... i think you can manage it if you just try." then they go listing these lazier alternative ideas in trying to do more stuff in a build where they only talk about replicating a structure over a bunch with very few variation ideas and nothing else, which from what i can tell would take just a few hours to do, so basically something that could very well be done in a sitting. i can understand people prefer projects that can be done in one sitting, but you don't experience the more glory of building that way. starting up a project and then going back to it can refresh your look and perspective on it to where you can make it more of how you would like to have it.

It reminds me of the art making technique of 'Chaos to Control', it's exactly like what you've done here but mostly used in digital art, but I guess it can be incorporated in Minecraft Architecture aswell! XD
Spectacular work!

That's exactly it!, I've taken different techniques from digital art being mostly inspired by concept art and then incorporate them into minecraft. Really glad that you recognized that!

No problem XP The chaotic part I've already fallen in love with, can't wait to see what the control will look like!
