It's a range of things from number of watchers, what those watchers are watching you for, which groups you put them in, how many groups you put them in (some people put their adopts in 20+ groups! This particular one is in 46), presentation of the adopts, what rules you have along with how many rules, the artist comments (this one tells you how much 40 points is worth, it's a great method as when people look at the points they tend to be finicky with parting with just one point, but after looking at the fact it's only worth 50 cents in total it appeals to the buyer as being more worth it), and then there's the designs. When you adopt it's the design more then anything that people will be interested in, the quality of the drawing always helps but isn't necessary, and then there's the amount of adopts on a page, here we have a huge selection of choice which makes it effective in that less deviations have to be uploaded but it also attracts more customers as they might be more interested in stopping to have a look through all the choices.
and then there's just the fact that sometimes things won't sell no matter what you do for some unexplainable reason. But if you try long enough I'm sure you'll start to get some results
