I have to agree with your signature btw, all my shots were made with a 6 year old compact, except for a few, for which I borrowed a friends entry-DSLR

Yup. Same with me. I have a dslr, but never have it there when the good opportunities come. That's the advantage of the compact ones i guess..always easy to have there.

I'm going to buy a DSLR in a month because my compact doesn't give me enough options (just the EV), but I always carry my cell phone with me to take the "opportunity shots"
