I haven't done a collage with a lot of poses in a long time, have I?

This is Sash Lilac, a dragon girl from the game Freedom Planet, finished just in time for an official art contest. I included some official art for comparison. My rendition of her doesn't fully capture her anime look, which is kinda intentional, kinda not so much. The thing is, I make action figures, not sculptures. That means my focus is on making something that is highly articulate and poseable , and creating perfect anime proportions tends to mean that you end up with a slightly awkward figure that can barely stretch its arms above its own head and sometimes can't support its own weight when posing for the camera. Some sacrifices have to be made for the conversion into 100% pipecleaners.

The head gave me some trouble because so many different features had to be stuck into it that I just about ran out of room for rooting anymore parts when attaching the eyes. I couldn't even put an anime glisten in them like in the official art because there was just no more space to anchor that part below the head's surface, and I never use glue because it can get messy very quickly.

Aside from that, everything went slowly and steadily. I think I'm satisfied with my work here.

Freedom Planet is a game by Galaxy Trail that is available on Steam and The Humble Store. It's a mish-mash of Sega tropes, much like how Shovel Knight is a mish-mash of Nintendo tropes, and has been described as what might happen if Treasure made a Sonic game.
