I know that in Super Robot Wars Advance, you can get Minerva (original version) to join your team and she eventually has her AI unit replaced with a cockpit so that she can't go berserk ever again.

yea...that was the last you see her though. kinda wish they'd bring her back. In srw Z, they don;t have kaiser or shin so an extra mazinger unit would have been nice. then again, they did add grendaizer back...
