The teeny tiny details really make these pictures that you so lovingly create. If they were a bit bigger, I'd have endless fun going through them all and looking at the tiny little things. So great.
And McDildos had me crying from laughter, so you know.

This used to be a bit blown up, but you couldn't see it without scrolling up or down, left or right. So I gave everyone a break and edited it.
Glad you dig.

Cool. Thanks a lot for the compliaments.
I think people like b/w work, but there is so much work, it's hard to get to all of it.

You're very welcome!
This looks like it took a long time...><
I hate how deviations like that and like most of my work...graphite and ink drawings, don't get as much attention as shiny, colorful digital crap...
Traditional drawings require a lot more effort, you can't make many mistakes or it simply gets fucked up...and it takes hours to get done...
Now digital crap, there's ctrl+z and layers there, the most useful tools ever...you don't need anything else...you can just erase and re-do it, and re-do it again, and it will never be 100% ruined...and most of it doesn't really require much skills like traditional drawing, and so much it, is pure CRAP!...It pisses me off!

ckirkillustr8 In reply to leme666 [2007-11-10 03:57:11 +0000 UTC]
I don't mind digital work. It seems to be heading that way.
And it wouldn't look as good as it does without some skill behind it I think.
There are things that I dislike about it, but there are obvious advantages that can't be overlooked.
But your right, there is a ton of crap to.

leme666 In reply to ckirkillustr8 [2007-11-10 12:17:50 +0000 UTC]
Yeah...I had to get into digital work since its what I wanna work with...and yes, someone who can draw is obviously gonna do a much better work on digital too...
And there are things indeed that can't be overlooked...but still...some of the stuff its simply too over the top...like Aphophysis stuff...its SO easy to make that stuff, and it does looks cool..but it doesn't really require any skills...
But what pissed me off really is how traditional art doesn't get as much attention as it should...
We put our hearts into one piece of work, and sometimes people don't even see it, simply because its B&W...=/

ckirkillustr8 In reply to leme666 [2007-11-10 21:31:35 +0000 UTC]
I've never used Apophysis, so I don't know either way.
I know people have made fractals by hand before, even before computers, so I agree with you a bit on that.
I think traditional gets attention, it's like anything else, you also have to find your audience to. Simply posting and waiting for people to see it won't get it anywhere.
You gotta be your own advertising, and seek out the like minded people.

leme666 In reply to ckirkillustr8 [2007-11-12 00:51:57 +0000 UTC]
I can't imagine drawing a fractal...hahaha
But it ain't easy to find your audience...unless your work is like *nanya 's...hahaha

It's hard and easy. I guess all the LSD would help, because they are primarily a hippy phenomenon.
I think it can be. You don't have to have an abundance of skill, but just do one thing really well, like =Teruchan and people will bend over backwards for you.
π: 0 β©: 1
leme666 In reply to ckirkillustr8 [2007-11-12 02:12:05 +0000 UTC]
Yes, LSD would definitely help...hahaha
But this =Teruchan 's work is coloured digitally, so I wouldn't count that as traditional art...and its fucking Anime...I HATE Anime, I HATE IT! I can't stand it!
π: 0 β©: 1
ckirkillustr8 In reply to leme666 [2007-11-12 02:20:57 +0000 UTC]
I was using =Teruchan as an example.
Since it's anime, he allready has found an audience, and everything he's made is an OC as far as I know.
He hasn't even done any fanart of popular shows, and he still has a large audience.
I'm not big on anime myself, but he does it his way and people like it.
