You love giving people blue faces. What does the blue signify here? So if I read correctly this is suppose to be a hospital scene? What is really going on in this paining? To me it looks like maybe they could be praying but they actually all looked pissed off and also looking sideways.

No, this is not another hospital scene.

This is our image of 'terrorists'. With their turbans they seem to be from a muslim country. They are men in shadows.

They are looking sideways may be for the next order from the boss or for to sight an enemy or in fear of getting caught or already been caught and awaiting their fate...open to imagination.  Could be anxious more than pissed off - that was the intention! lol

Mainly the idea was to create an ominous atmosphere.

Blue I find the most versatile of the colours. Conveys many shades though it is popularly perceived as for sorrow and anguish. If you remember the big wavy figure of the syrian woman in 'syria'? Or better still, have a look below when you have time. That type of brush work [for the central figure] I love to do in blue. Also have a read below the painting, please.

sorry for so much demand on your time.

thanks

You're welcome. If I'm around and if it is warranted, I'll comment. I just got back from a two week trip, so I had a lot to go through before commenting on everything I favorited.

Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! Then I looked at the full view and it is obviously the Moorish Inquisition.

I look at this and think of the shadows one carries around everywhere. This provides a distortion in other's eyes. They see a shadow that says Islam, combined with a middle eastern name and nationality, and you are being delayed on flights, and not allowed to cross the Canadian boarder back into the USA. It can even extend to such mundane things as your teacher not liking you for your last name, and Father's religion.
This is well painted and expressive...a pleasure to look at visually, even though it leaves a sour feeling.

personal interpretation: no fear is present. no sadness, no fear, no looming presence.

looks like some secret sort of meaning in which the four men in the corner are trying to persuade the man who has inched away from them to come back and to recieve the knowledge he came to request. he is unsure of this and has decided to attempt to sneak away, but he knows and they know that he can't turn back...

this is fantastic: looming menacing shadows [of what they want us to think islam means] but underneath are just men, experiencing the anguish, sadness & emptiness which all human beings endure. this is my favourite of the pieces you've submitted.

Wow, this is very beautifully done.

I especially love the blue colors in the men's faces, and how all of their faces are similar.

The shadows are very powerful and I love the contrast against the gold bricks.

Well done!

It seems to me, that these muslim men are hiding in the shadows, because of the war against them. Beautiful in itself, simply profound.
