This seems like there is dark energy. The red and black make it seem kinda hellish and there is evil lurking. The animals seem disoriented and confused. I was wondering what your perspective is on it?

Thanks for looking this up and commenting. And fav as well! [You know I like feed-back in words - a comment - much much more than a silent fav. A fav doesn't tell me WHAT the viewer has seen in the piece, nor WHY s/he has fav-ed. I mean I am not complaining but for 100 fav-s I might be getting just 2 or 3 good comments [other than - awesome/gorgeous/love it!...Tell me why you like it or not, that matters to me! ]

The 2011 tsunami in Japan which also triggered nuclear accidents inspired the painting. How a well-organised, in fact, may be the best organised society on the earth went haywire in a matter of seconds in the face of a big natural/ man-made disaster. So the animals are running in all the directions unlike their natural unilinear flock runs. Panic. They are thoroughly shaken up by the unexperienced-so-far phenomenon of eclipse . That's the idea.

That's why am really elated that you use the terms 'dark energy', 'evil lurking'. Makes me feel I have come across ok without having spelled out the background of the piece in words!

I like feedback in words rather than favorites as well. I guess the main reason I don't always comment is because I may not understand a piece and don't want to sound stupid but at the same time I might love it.

As for negative feedback I will never give that unless someone specifically asks me what I truly think. If I don't like a piece I prefer not to say anything at all.

I would have never guessed that the 2011 accident inspired the painting. That is so cool that the setting seems so far away but you are creating an allegory on it. Now that I know what inspired it, it makes your painting even more powerful. It's an awesome painting either way though.

I have to say that I like the revision. The shading makes it look so much better, ecspecially the middle one and the second one to the side of it.

The choice of colors in this are great with the contrast they provide for the focus of the painting .

I like your concept and I love the sense and feeling of mystery in your painting but I think you can work more on the anatomy of the animals, although I like their symbolic eyes, and the details of the colors in the sky and the moon . Personally I think the horizon line is a bit rigid ( I think you can add a bit of ups and downs to it to add a bit of variety that is if you want to

thanks
I thought of adding more details to the animals but then thought better leave them toy-like.That is why eyes are also like that.t Still, may add at least some tonal variation.
Will check on the horizon too.

Thanks you very much for a positive feed-back!
