Description
acrylic on canvas boardThis is a painting I had done while in India last - in December last year.
It is for a forthcoming novel in my language to be published [hopefully] by the end of this year.
The novel is about a female stalker. She is stalking a business manager who finally manages to get rid of her by pretending to visit a red-light area, by making him appear 'immoral' in her eyes!

i can point to this as an exaplme of what i wrote about your work...
the first that happens when i see your painting, is that i am beaten by her eyes. they are so deep and are staring right at me! its difficult to stay away from her eyes. but when you do, that dizzy background feel so insecure, that you have no option but go back to the safety of her sight... but her face is kinda fading, just like her clothes, so you're falling anyway... you would need to stop looking, but theres something that caughts you...
well, i am talking about this when i say "full experience"
great work!

Wide eyed and watching, I really like her face. The background is pretty spiffy as well, I like the illusion that it bends off in the distance.

Do you like acrylic or oil based paint better?
The book sounds interesting and the painting is interesting too. The way she looks like she is standing in the wind looks neat.

I used to work in oil in the beginning, never had confidence about acrylic. Then gave it a try.Speed is the only criteria for acrylic for me.I mean the painting is ready in three days or so.Unlike oil.
But now I realise some limitations of acrylic and may go back to oil again. Actually I did oil only on hard-board and canvas board, I don't think I ever did one on proper stretched canvas.
May be when I can afford a bit time for a painting, I'll revert to oil.
Thanks for the comment on the painting,Tara.

Its not a bad painting, but it doesnt pull me in like some of your others, i do like the background, and the way she looks as if she is in transit.

I really like the interesting perspective in this one..very cool. And the way you have made her look like she's "breezing" by..like the wind. but...why are your "troubled" women always blue? lol....

the novel sounds interesting and this is yet another interestingly amazing painting! I love the way you've made the woman look as if she is moving by smudging the paint alittle, she seems like the woman in ure novel... a stalker! the background colours are amazing and show off the woman in blue to its potential.... its got to be another fave for you I think!

Interesting. I like the background a lot. I also like how there is so much movement in the woman- it really fits the idea of her being a stalker. I also think you used color very well in this- making the woman blue was a great idea.
