Name: Oliver Fulton
Age: 13
Hometown: Cerulean, Kanto
Personality: Oliver is, in one word, girly. Though, he constantly struggles against it, declaring himself to be super manly. And he hates being mistaken for a girl. Whenever that happens, he gets all mad, shouting and stamping his foot, declaring himself to be a boy. He throws a tantrum.
He doesn't quite understand why men like to dress like women, but if he ever does encounter one, he sort of... freaks out. How could someone throw away their manhood like that?!
Aaaaand he's terrified of Rapidash. They scare the bajeebus out of him because he saw one run over his older and only brother, killing himmmm.
History: Oliver grew up in a family full of nothing but girls. His mother, a rather burly woman who makes a living off of the dresses she creates and sells, has pretty much bullied Oliver his whole life. And his three sisters, all younger than him, have done the same. Like mother like daughter. Oliver does most of the chores in the house, ranging from something as simple as doing the dishes to modeling the dresses his mother makes, which the boy abhors. Which is why the boy hardly ever visits home. Or talks about his home life.
As soon as he left home, Oliver set out on a journey that spanned across regions, training his pokemon, even though he never planned on challenging the pokemon league. This is mostly due to Lt. Surge harshly crushing his dream, defeating Duke, who was a growlithe at the time, so easily. Even when young Oliver had challenged him again, the results did not change. Oliver, so saddened by his loss, ultimately assumed that the gym leader had told all the others that Oliver wasn't allowed to battle them.
So boop boop he hopped regions, and got into coordinating. He was actually pretty good at it, since he likes to show off. But then, he went to Hearthome, Sinnoh, hoping to kick butt and show off in its contest hall...
and terrible things happened. Black Tourney happened. Which he doesn't ever want to talk about ever.
He is terrified of tournaments now.
He's only entering Big Sky Carnival because he thinks it's a carnival :C

Pokemon #1:
Name: DUKE
Species: SHINY ARCANINE
Sex: MALE
Ability: FLASH FIYAH
Nature: BROTHERLY CCC:
Hold Item: CHARCOAL I GUESS
Battle style: Duke isn't the type of pokemon that normally goes around and battles all sneaky like. He prefers the direct approach~ BUT HE WILL DO WHAT HE NEEDS TO TO WIN. Because he will do anything for Oliver. :3
Athletic stat: Speed
Contest stat: Tough
Other info: Oliver has had Duke since he was nine, and as such the two are very close. Duke is the closest thing Oliver has to a brother, and Duke is almost always out of his pokeball. Duke is very protective of Oliver, though he is sometimes annoyed by how childish his trainer acts. But Duke puts up with Oliver's shenanigans, because he loves his trainer.
The slight ruffle on his nose is where his fur grew over a scar he received in Black Tourney from a Sceptile. If anyone asks how Duke got such a scar, Oliver pretends that he has no idea.

Pokemon #2:
Name: Francisco
Species: EKANSSSS
Sex: Male
Ability: Shedskin
Nature: INTERRUPTING
Hold Item: Poison Barb
Battle style: He prefers to strike and retreat, then sneak up on the opponent from behind. Basically a SNEAKY APPROACH. His favorite non-poison move of his would have to be Dig, but it can be pretty risky for him if his opponent knows Earthquake. So he's a little hesitant in using it unless he's sure his opponent has used all the moves he knows.
Athletic stat: skill
Contest stat: smart
Other info: Despite Francisco's annoying and seemingly idiotic nature, he's actually fairly clever. He can quickly assess situations and act accordingly, and is not easily deceived. Oliver and him are fairly close for a trainer and ekans, given that snake pokemon aren't generally what one would call friendly.
Oliver's main reason for getting Francisco was because he once had a hallucination of having an Ekans for an arm. Said ekans had been named Francisco. And, once the hallucination was over, Oliver realized he had to get his arm snake back.

Species: Nidoran♂
Sex: Male
Ability: Poison Point
Nature: Rude
Hold Item: Black Sludge (In his tum tum)
Battle style: HEAD ON, CONFIDENT, BITING YOUR ANKLES. Fabio is very RAEGY in battle. And he likes to jab pokemon with his wittle horn. :3 He won't give up, and will fight until he's unconscious!
Athletic stat: stamina
Contest stat: cool
Other info: Fabio has taken Oliver's views of manliness... and taken them to an extreme. Fabio, being a tiny, cute wittle Nidoran, wants to prove himself as tough even more than Oliver! He doesn't approve of the many times that Oliver cries or chickens out, and is often the reason Oliver will do anything he'd normally NOT do.
Fabio is a very persuasive pokemon. :3
