Description
She looked at her cat hissing at her. Demi flipped the mask around and felt the aged wood. She put it up to her face and the rim of the mask sucked around her face like a vacuum. A second later, she pulled it off with a pop that sent a puff a green smoke out from under the mask that quickly disappeared. Her eyes wide, she looked at the mask. The face shape looked different than before; it was shaped more like her face now. She quickly went to the mirror and checked her face. Everything seemed fine. She looked at the mask and dismissed it as her imagination or some feeling the pot was giving her. She sat back on the couch and studied the mask more.
“No… it can’t…” she said, staring at the mask. She brought it close to her face again. It was getting closer and closer and she could feel a wind blowing behind her head. When it was a few inches from her, it jumped onto her face knocking her back for a second.
Rubbery wooden whips shot out from the mask and grabbed her face, locking the mask in place. Green smoke came out from under the mask and went around her entire head before she breathed it in turning her blue eyes a bright green. The masked seeped into the pours on her face and got thicker at points and thinning at others to make a new face. The masked slithered all around her head. She grabbed the edge of the mask’s extensions and pulled on them, shaking her body vigorously. It seemed like it was peeling off but the mask fought back and she had to let go, the mask’s whips rolled back onto her head.
As it was about to reach the back of her head she grabbed it again and pulled harder this time, but the mask wouldn’t budge and overcame her. The mask thrust her off the couch and put her on her feet. The mask throbbed throwing her off balance as it got bigger. The mask felt like a thick layer of skin around her head now. It tightened around her whole head making her face numb. She grabbed her head, and her body started to move uncontrollably. She could feel her whole body changing, surging with power. Her body moved, whipping her head around. The mask continued to get more violent until she turned into a human tornado.
