(this assumes you're using Photoshop)
Actually the Lipstick part is very easy, contrary to popular belief. All you need to do is use a soft brush eraser and go around the edges.
You use the Smudge tool (also soft brush) to get around the edges to push or pull the green parts to where you need them to be.
Keeps it from looking so jagged.
Granted you'll have to use the Zoom Tool to check your work. YOU CAN'T RUSH IT.
It also helps to use a soft brush eraser around the hairline (about 15-25% opacity) to make it look more natural around the edges.
Quick question: Liquify Tool. Ever used it?
