I can just imagine lying on the floor in some grand European palace and seeing this - hell, it's even got a chandelier

Thank you. The gradient is one of my rare non-monochromatic fare.

If this were my ceiling, um, I imagine I'd spend a lot of time on my back.....

This one has a very soft quality to it that really gives it a unique look. Almost as if it's been photographed through a filter. Yet it keeps its 3D effect. Really nice!

Thanks!
Actually, that soft feel is caused by the Blur triangle's value being too high. It should have been lowered slightly before rendering.

True, but leaving it up gave it a really unique look that added to the piece. Shhh, tell them you did it on purpose. They'll think you're sooo artistic!

I'm not particularly fond of julias or julians for the most part but I do like this one. It's very feminine in some way I can't quite put my finger on. Lovely gradient too.

Thank you for the . Despite the fact I never got the weights worked out fully, this is one of my favourite Julians I've created.
LOL, and I've been going on my Julian craze lately. But hey, when you've spent so much time trying to figure out one thing, it's the only thing on your mind.
I thought this piece was very feminine too. Besides the gradient which suggests a more "female" feel, the center looks very floral to me.

I can understand. I read through your new tutorial yesterday and I've not been able to do anything else but play with grand julians. I love you guys who can get these lovely elegant gradients and clean forms. I play with settings a lot so mine are umm...messier.

Thank you. I was going to post the version in the tutorial, but in full view it was too bright in the center and I didn't want to rerender at that point.

Thanks.
Technically, there are kinks by way of ghost images in some areas. But you have to look at the render more closely to see them.

Yes, I understand ghost images MUCH more since I've rendered a few. They can be maddening!
But, I still hold that this piece is just gorgeous!
