+ The Fanart:
Several hours over the course of five days, on my two best friends, Adobe Photoshop CS2 and Corel Painter IX.
I cheated on the fan -- I scanned an actual paper fan, and played around with it on Photoshop.
Painting Temari was the funnest bit. Sasuke's shorter because he's ... younger?

I'm not really pleased with the way this turned out, so that means there's more Sasuke/Temari art coming along as I vainly try to translate the awesomeness of this ship into art!

For those who are interested: this was the initial pencil-sketch.

+ The Ship:
Sasuke/Temari occurred to me after I realized that the Uchiha in Uchiha Sasuke meant, "fan", and that Temari carries around a huge folding fan as a weapon. Ta-da, instant ship! Plus, Temari kicks major ARSE and would probably match Sasuke in terms of attitude, determination, flair and all-around snazziness. Also! Both of them are from somewhat noble families (Sasuke of course being an Uchiha, and Temari being the sister and daughter of Kazekages). And the whole Gaara thing doesn't hurt either.

+ The Dedications:
This fanart is dedicated to the lovely Katie, as a belated birthday present. She has recently turned the very tender, admirable, deliciously vibrant age of 17, and will probably rule the world if we're not careful. I also have it under good authority that she hates Sasuke, thus ensuring the appropriateness of this fanart. See, it's the wonderful Sasuke! I love him! *fangirls delightedly*

This fanart is also dedicated to the apple-sweet, super-spunky Debbie, who turned 19 yesterday. All your base are belong to her. She is over-obsessed with Kakashi and the Phantom of the Opera, and I'm sensing a pattern here: she adores men in masks. Hmm. She knows I'm fangirlishly crazyinsane over Sasuke, so she will understand.
