I don't re-read books because I'm obsessed. I don't talk about my favorite series a lot because I'm obsessed. I re-read books to remind myself how it feels to want to hug your favorite character, or give them a hand to hold when things get tough. I talk about my favorite series a lot because I try to make you understand just how much I love it. I don't have crushes on fictional characters because of how handsome they are, or how popular they are. I crush on fictional characters because of how brave, strong, thoughtful, caring and wonderful they are. I don't wish I could be in that universe so I could marry the main character. I wish I was in that universe so I could tell them how much they mean to me. I don't worship fictional characters, I respect them. I wish, every time I open a book, that I was there. Beside them. Helping on their journey. Because fictional characters that I can relate to, and that do heroic things, are the reason I read. I read for the fun, for the connection I make with the characters, and for the laughter, the tears, the pain, and the heartache. I read because I admire the character, I talk because I want you to understand why. I'm not obsessed, I'm just enjoying good literature.
