Ok so in the mugen world theres this big mortal kombat vs street fighter thing going on among other things. I thought that I would work on a neat and thought out screen pack. Here is the select screen concept.heres a concept of the select screen in action.[link]

yeah plus those are way to unrealistic. When i say that i mean it just isn't something that would even really make sense. mkvsdc didnt make much sense but that was a one time thing. kofvsfons maybe but not kofvsmk.

I hope this games comes out because while i've always liked both games i felt MK is the superior one, and before i get flames i have several reasons why. 1. Middway doesn't take 25 years to mke a new game. 2.the continuity is not nuked. 3.Mk knows to change with the times.

I love what mk was and what mk could have been, but I can't agree with you on your last statement. Although I am not a huge fan of street fighter 4 I had way more fun playing it than any of the new mk games. Don't get me wrong mkvsdc and mksm were worth trying out.In mkvsdcu I really liked what they did with subzero but the rest of the game screamed another tank. It wasn't as bad as Armageddon but what game is? Yes mortal kombat was awesome for what it was...it sucks for what it has become.

I'm glad to see you haven't flame me like most people on the internet would. I do however disagree. I can't comment much on street fighter 4 because i haven't played it but most street fighter gammes i play seem like the same game. and as for controls i find doing special move in street fighter a little more akward. just my oppinion as for armageddon i've seen worst games don't believe me watch avgn. Once again thanks for no flames

No prob I am a fighting game fanatic so unlike some people I like them all. Street fighter may seem repetative to most...heck I agree. The only thing is that sf found something that works and stayed with it. Though most hate that idea of the same gameplay you will have to try sf3 3rd strike for the best example of a street fighter game. Mortal kombat did try to change with the times but now it doesn't even feel like I am playing mortal kombat anymore. The games are slow and clunky and almost have no reason to try and get good at it. I like fighting games that are worth working at like tekken. Tekken isn't part of this discussion but my point is of all the good fighting games i have played, all the new mk games don't even get close. That being said I just stick with the old mk games.

8/10 fun game. Way better than the ps2 crap and better than mkvsdc. There are a few things i would have changed but overall I like it and if i had internet at my house id be playing it online alot.

Yeah I don't know what but there's just something that seems to make this MK game my favorite. not to mentionchallenge tower is a lot of fun. I do however feel Quan-Chi is really freaking cheap.

Yeah it's funny. I bet capcom would have sat mk aside and showed them what it was to make a good fighting game^_^. I love mk but their last few games have been abominations unto the name of fighting games and the fans.

the only ones I kind of disliked were mk armageddon cuz that make your own fatality instead of having individual fatalities for everyone sucked, and mk 4 cuz everyone played the same. other then that I liked all the games fairly well, including the dc one even though I wish it were street fighter. But I play superman a lot. Heh, his brutality is so a fatality. no one can survive being bashed into concrete.

After playing other more fluid 3d fighters(tekken,soul caliber, virua fighter, bloody roar,) Mortal kombat Armageddon was a disgrace as a fighting game all together. Mk dc was a huge improvement I admit but almost anything would be I mean I have way more fun playing tekken 2 on ps1. It's sad to see an aged game like that playing better then a game that came out several years later.

yeah, I actually enjoy the soul caliburs more then armaggedon. the one point it did have is it secretly stuffed in street fighter characters with their moves in the character creation. You can pretty much get exact copies of ken, ryu, akuma, guile, chun li, sakura and cammy in there.
As for old things being better then new it also reminds me of the new street fighter movie compared to the old one. I used to think the van dam movie for sf was bad. but compared to that atrocity of a chun li movie at least the van dam movie felt and looked like street fighter. this new chun li one was a joke even if you didn't know street fighter.

especially since the first movie was purposely more of a parody and the new one was supposed to be seriously like street fighter. They have this stupid idea now of redesigning the characters and story for this "new millennium" in these movies which is completely retarded(xmen, street fighter, dragon ball z, G.I. Joe,dead or alive, king of fighters,etc).
