Well, I am finally submitting something
Hehehe... This was so freaking hard to draw, took about 20 hours overall, even though the piece itself isn't very big, somewhere between 30X20 cm canvas... But the details I had to put into this!!!! Ohhh, the details................... And it was hard to find the right colours from the reference (which can be found in my scraps)..... But I'm very pleased with the outcome
This was done for my classmate, Jeffrey Yang.... And it was drawn from a screen shot from Gankutsuou (GONZO production). Hope everyone enjoys this!!! And I'm really interested in the feedback ....

The signature........ where, oh where did I get that saying. Ripped it off of someone else's signature, just like all others. If only I could remember. And Google Gurus aren't very useful either in identifying the author.

This is very nice as well. Although I don't know the Anime (huh, did I miss something? Worth watching? Gonzo often has eye-candy animation but other than that... 
Even if this is drawn off a screenshot, the shading looks excellent and the details are flawless. Good job!

Oh, I got to know the anime through a friend - it's somewhat an anime version of the Count of Monte Cristo by Duma. I personally don't know much about the story, but the animation is actually real nice. ([link] - trailer for it) The colours are a tad to bright and textur-y, but I still like it.

I've seen the whole series, and let me just say, it was spectacular. The anime was actually more similar to the novel than any of the movies were (despite the anime taking place in the far future).
And let me also say this is a great picture too, really good detail for a small canvas like that.

Ahh, I saw the movie just recently, it was splendid. Certainly have to read the novel to compare. And have to watch the series as well, since EVERYONE who I know says it is amazing in every way.

I used acrylics and watercolours on a piece of ... well, canvas-like (in texture) sheet of hard paper board.
The acrylics I usually use so it would stick to the canvas and so I could paint over some parts, while the watercolours allow me to have a wider colour palette, since I have more experience with them. And that's about it.

Yeah, this is acrylics, as well as watercolour, actually, since I like to use them together - water colours lets me mix a wider range of colours (since I have more experience with them) and acrylics make it more forgiving and let it stick to the canvas that I like to use XD lol
