Description Had to make this as soon I looked down at the comments.

I remember People saying, "it better not be another New Super Mario Bros game, I want something like Mario 64 or Sunshine" "*give us Super Mario Galaxy 3 already!!!* " this one sounds familiar... roll on Super Mario Odyssey and....while most are trill to see this game (so am I! ) but because of one level they shown....right at the start, set in a New York type of city...People are acting like this is Sonic 06...or a Sonic game, "why are there realistic humans in a Mario game?! "

People seem to forget...Mario himself is human (while looking a bit cartoony and short) his first few games were set in the real world (Donkey Kong, Mario Bros and handful of Game & Watch titles where Mario did lots of different jobs...a little bit like a old Popeye cartoon) also...this city level isn't the full game! XD there's lots of other interesting and more Mario like worlds in the game. not to mention...it's finally a huge open world type of 3D Mario game. not the arcade/2D Classic Mario style of the last 3D Mario games.

For me this SUPER awesome! a modern Mario 64?! and Mario going back to the city! as Donkey Kong 94 was the first Mario game I ever played, you know that Super Game Boy game that had like 90 or so levels in it? and gave Mario all his tick jump moves he has in the 3D games? www.youtube.com/watch?v=t2iicA… knowing those moves made Mario more like a true*Jumpman* XD even in the old cartoons Mario came back to the real world now and again (normally went back as King Koopa was still at huge...had one time he almost took over New York and turned it into New Koopa City! XD www.youtube.com/watch?v=IEmycV… one of it's best episodes )

So yeah, don't get moaning like the "SonicFans" It's just one level, It could of be of one of Mario's more interesting fun adventures we had in awhile. as long they don't rush it though.

only one worries me however...where's Luigi at? XD don't let miss another 64 Adventure!

How Nintendo did not collapse from the Wii U is beyond me... it doesn't seem like anyone can knock them down from the throne of the game industry...

Well it wasn't as bad as Sega 32x, Virtual Boy or western Saturn (Japan in it sold well ) it had some great games that made it worth having, like Mario Maker, Smash Bros Wii, Mario Kart 8, Splatoon (this game mainly which made think of the cool dreamcast days )

as much I prefer a Saturn or Mega Drive over a Snes or N64 any day of the week...(well maybe tough with the N64, that had amazing games on it! it's neck and neck with Saturn ) it's PlayStation and Xbox I think have lost what gaming is about. :/ both lack the original games that Nintendo and Sega had on their systems (there's small of games that are original and are good still but it's no where near Nintendo or Sega's lists) that why I like Nintendo and Sega joining forces to keep the great games alive, games that are fun not the least tech demos or interactive movies. >.< but here's hopping one day SEGA will be able to stand on it's own two feet once again.

I think Nintendo is only aiding in Sega's decline in the industry, and bringing their mascot down with them. Nintendo has hundreds of unique characters, Sega's killed their other franchises to make room for Sonic, and it just doesn't work. Disasters like Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric prove Nintendo and Sega working together is going to fail eventually. Nintendo doesn't relinquish their industry throne, they neglect Sega, and the result is a game that is bloated and unworthy of existing. It's like they're not even trying, it's like they stopped caring about Sonic long ago. If they can't get their heads out of the sand, they should put Sonic out of his misery. www.vice.com/en_us/article/sho…

how?

Nintendo didn't ask for Sonic Boom or Sonic 06, that was all Sega's bad management, the problem Sega it really doesn't care about it's franchises (unless it's Sonic, that music girl game or that Mean Bean game ) in the Dreamcast era, the guy in charge of Sega of the US...didn't even know what Streets of rage was...the original Final Fight copy that was the better the Capcom ones! that's why he cancelled the 4th game. (someone at SEGA still dose oddly enough...) also the Saturn era he said it wasn't our future (before there even Dreamcast to fill in, just came out and said, "Yep Saturn is history, no point making games for it") Nintendo didn't do anything, PS2 on the hand killed Sega with one shot, that DVD.

also about Sonic Boom, that was meant to be a PS4 game, and nobody asked for it (But Sega think we do....) the cartoon is barely the only good thing to come out of it. Sega have got a thing for rushing their games, Nintendo most times lets them take as long as they want, that's why Mario or Zelda takes ages to come out.

Sega seem to have the right idea now, let the guys who remade the classics, make a new game! (dimps have lost their touché since Sonic Rush 1 ) and their not rushing to make deadlines anymore, doing this should recover Sonic's status that he had in the 90's. one more thing, Sonic has been treated very well in Smash Bros just wondering where's Sega's fighting game....like Fighter Megamix? www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnGUhh… then giving us Tennis games and...bad racing games? (I grew up on Sega racing....to see them ruin the controls for the new games is crazy. >.< )

in short, I want Sega to be more like Nintendo. but with their style....just like in the MD and Saturn (japan) era!

Nintendo? Who announced a console where virtual copies of oldies are for rental once a month, and are gone afterwards? Who released the NES Classic in a historically laughable stock? Where virtual console releases are so rare and have less variety? If Nintendo can't relinquish its control on the industry, if Sega can't slow down or make room for its other properties, what hope remains for Sonic? No confidence remains in the cinematic cash-in that is to be released next year for me, if Sega's past behavior is any indication. If The Sonic The Hedgehog Movie fails, it may as well put an end to the company, because the state it is in as of now is not acceptable.

Yeah that one Nes or Snes game a month is a joke (along with the rest of it's online atm. :/ ) Nes Classic is a great system though! like the Wii maybe they didn't expert people to go nuts over this (I mean you don't see that with the Atari and Sega ones ) The Virtual Console has always been a joke (which I'm glad I got a mini Nes that can play any Nes or famicom game in great HD,saves and classic controller. and the box art feature has been keeping me busy as you can tell!! ^^ ) But that's main thing about this rant I done, if they make Mario Odyssey to be the best since 64 then awesome, portable Sonic Mania and Sonic 17 to boot! ;D how's that not a winning mix?

only thing I hope they sort out the prices to something more reasonable, and give us Gamecube games while we wait for the new big games. ( love Sunshine and Sonic Adventure DX on the go! )

Well Mario has been there with the Movies...! XD funny thing in 1986 he had the first anime movie which was great being based on SMB 1.....roll on to 1993 for the live action, you had SMB3, Mario Land 1 and 2, Mario World?!?!....and it looks worse then the live action bits in Super Show. XD I'm not expecting much, I got Sonic OVA for my Amine Movie fix. (see how Mario and Sonic had the same thing there? with films? )

The gaming company, not a film one! XD as long as Mania and Sonic 17 don't flop (and their arcades just die out of no where) we still have SEGA for a long time. like I want Nintendo and Sega to be around. as Sony and Microsoft are killing gaming far as I'm concerned. :/ I mean the whole point to the PS4 Pro is just to be faster...it's not even a Sega 32x with new games for it.

I mean, I'm not totally sold on the Switch (why I aren't pre-ordered one yet) but I'm just hopping they do the right stuff to make it work this time around.

I can't say that I'll be surprised if it winds up like the Wii U, the Wii, Gamecube, N64, or basically any system Nintendo made that winded up with shoddy or disappointing games late into a Nintendo console's life cycle... It's a rather shocking trend that I discovered recently...

The Wii was bad?... hang on, I know it had bad Sonic games to begin with (though it had the Mega Drive games, and Master System ones, which is the first time I got to play the 8-bit ones. ) then you had Unleashed and lastly Colours (one of the last big games I got for my Wii.   ) Gamecube? only flopped due the same reason as Dreamcast (not the pirate side lucky) the lack of DVD player that made PS2 what it was, it's games are some of the best of the gen, I still have mine hooked up treated it as my Nintendo Dreamcast (has the best of Sega and Nintendo games, and best version of shooters! ) and that Game Boy Player X3 (which gives you the Sonic Advance games, more Sega Sonic stuff, oh and Sega Arcade Gallery www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5JUn-…) if only they released that nice sliver DVD model. :/ and N64? underrated like Saturn, had amazing games, but it flopped mainly due to using carts and not CDs like PS1 and Saturn.

it's early days could be the Super Game Cube Boy we been waiting for? Portable Gamecube alone would make me buy it.

I'm not saying the systems are bad, it's just that half the games that were released late into their lives were sub-par in some manner...

Well I dunno, for Gamecube some of the 2005 games were pretty good (oddly from EA.. good times ) by the end of course they making the jump and putting a lot of it's games onto the next system, infact some of the early wii games were meant to be GameCube ones. like Zelda Super PaperMario and Kirby's Adventure/return to Dreamland (that took ages to finally being it's own Wii game...had it's engine used in Smash Bros Brawl first )

With the N64, some of the best games came in it's last year, PaperMario and Animal Forest (later ported to the Gamecube with bit more stuff ) Conker's Bad fur day... X3 (which better was then the Xbox version oddly)

and Wii had Sonic Colours and some great Kirby games which I still need to get round to playing.

Crazy how quality titles can be located late in a console's lifespan alongside smut and cash-grabs and lamentable rereleases.

Yeah, these days it's popular then ever, just look at GTA V or last of us, Tomb Raider...Dead Pool...Dead Rising 1 and 2/Off the record....Lego Harry Potter... those were all PS3/360 games, and now you got PSP ports on the PS4 soon, like that Parappa the rapper 1 remake, it's a 10 year old port (if they at least add that missing stage from the PSP version then I may buy ) that's why Nintendo is doing for the Switch, can't say I blame them if everyone is doing it. but at least it be portable this time around.

That's if they keep their promise about the Switch being portable... Btw, I'm almost done with my part of the trade.

Well the whole point of the switch it's a home console and a handheld. that be like the DS with only one screen or the Wii without the wii remotes.. XD

They said it only lows the graphics if your in portable, but they shown Zelda and Mario Kart 8 on the go, so it looks better then Vita already, plus I'm sure this allow GameCube games on the go, as there are window 10 handhelds you can buy now that can run most games well. funny enough they cost the same as a Switch.

I suppose there would be less complaints if Sega were still making consoles, but sadly it's very unlikely that Sega will make another console.

I guess Sonic being on Nintendo is the closest we will see to him being on a new Sega console now.

Further proof of Sega's downfall in the industry and further unreasonable exploits from their surrender in the console war in 2001.
