Description In 1968 Cheyenne was a hub for Union Pacific passenger trains. The Westbound City of Portland arrived at 9:15 AM (#105). The combined Challenger, City of Los Angeles, and City of San Francisco arrived at 9:45 (#103). The City of St. Louis arrived at 9:30 (#9).

Reconsituted, the City of St. Louis left with the City of San Francisco at 10:15 (#9, SP #101). The City of Portland left at 10:30 (#105) and the Challenger/City of LA at 10:45 (#103).

One of these sits at Cheyenne station on June 21, 1968. I never could figure out which!

I love the old UP E & F units. Probably some of the best stuff through that era behind the Warbonnets of ATSF.

I do agree. They took good care of them, at least cosmetically, and matched them up well.
