sorry about that but I changed accounts
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I think this is anime, it was certainly intended to be, and the facial features are quite large, but my sister said it didn't quite look it.
Anyway, another present for one of my friends, it was my Friend audrey's birthday so I drew her this as she loves ballet dancing (she has lessons twice a week at least) so I thought she'd like this
only references I used were for the pattern on the dress (from an old picture of Anna Pavlova) so really pleased with how it turned out
the original picture is much better, but if I put the original file up it's be HUGE so some of the detail got lost in resizing, sorry!
If anyone wants this as a print, please tell me and I'll colour it and add a background
thanks so much
it was a pain to do as I wasn't using references, so everything kept getting out of proportion
A perfectly composed piece, to say the least. Usually, one would think of a ballet dancer in colour, but this one looks great in black and white. I love the tidiness of this picture, and the plain background centres your eye. Nice work.
thanks so much!
I was wondering whether to do it in colour (maybe do the bancer in colour and the background in greyscale, or vice versa)
anyway, thanks again for the comment!
I think the idea of having the dancer in colour and the background in greyscale is the best option- it would convey the message that without dancing, life is dull.
No problem!
Great job capturing of the ballet pose. All of the small details in the dress really make this stand out... It's nicely done, looks very realistic!
