Description Now you know how "mailworms" look like ...
It was very hard to capture them! *lol*

These "mailworm" characters belong to the story of "Feuryon" which was my diploma thesis, it's a combination of a comic and storybook. In my story Mailworms are "Feuryon's" favourite snacks ...

This is one of millions of illustrations,
drawing ink and liquid watercolour on paper.

I kneaded nearly all characters (please check the sculptures folder) of the story with FIMO ([link] ), in order to have a good reference for all the drawings of the scenes ... and of course to have an eye catcher at the diploma exhibition
The story of my comic-storybook is based on how a computer works. BUT it is written as simple as possible, so even kids can understand it. I transformed the hardware of a computer into a city and called it PeCebylon. For example the soundcard is the district of the city, where various musicians live and work. I filled PeCebylon with cute and very colourful little beings called "PeCebylonier". Seeing that this city is a computer, everyone has to do his job so that the "city works". For example, when the user presses the start button of the computer, it is Feuryons job to wake up this city. He does this by lighting the fire of the big lighthouse which illuminates the whole city and a new day starts in PeCebylon and all inhabitants start their daily life ...When the computer is switched off, the sun goes down in PeCebylon and Feuryon puts out the fire of the lighthouse. All PeCebylonier go to sleep until Feuryon lights up the fire again.
Haha, so every time when you push the ON-switch of your computer, Feuryon gets the signal to wake up and light the fire ... this is the moment when your LEDs glow and your computer starts to work ... Sounds strange??? It is! It was really hard to transform and describe computer hardware and give it life ... Like we all know, every computer has bugs, this story has a few of them too ... but hey, I'm a designer not a technician ... lol ... it only has to look nice ... and my branch of study was illustration not technical function Wow, this description was hard work for me, to translate the meaning of my story to English and to keep it simple, short and understanding ... Hope I wasn't to confusing ...
