the info i have is that 82 did not operate MK IF - is this based on a pick you have seen?

They did operate on MK Is Mar-Sept 1939, but they were MK I bombers not MK IFs.
They only used Blenheim MK IV Long Nose bombers from Aug 1939 through to Mar 1942 and then converted onto the Vengenance MK I and IA Dive Bomber Type.
