I think the lighting is OK on this one. I like how the Drider is shooting webs from her hands (if that's what she's doing).

I like both, the other one looks more...ghastly, this one looks more natural (as natural as you can get with what's here lol). The Drider gives me the creeps...ugh...bugs, spiders, all very scary.

I think that may have been my problem, I was looking for ghastly, but the picture didn't get there. oh you don't like "spiders and snakes",? lol old song

Nope, don't like spiders and snakes at all...that's a funny song . If ghastly is what you were going for, Webbed 2 works
it makes the spider lady look scarier than she already is though...:/

Sometimes "less is more" is actually true.

Nice work. I like this version better. It has a more appropriate looking atmosphere.

I think I like this one best. The green is interesting, but I can't see a source (or a reason for it) so it seems a little 'odd' to me. The lighting on this one seems more natural, if not quite as eye catching.

its a "L" shaped corridor.Β I thought that it may add some "atmosphere".

Ah... I didn't get the L shape...Β and it does add atmosphere...
The choice was difficult, by the way. It wasn't a clear cut decision.
But I still think I like the one I chose better.Β

I think that the background is too complex. you don't see the curve. I wonder if the lighting would work with a simple hallway? gotta play around with that. or maybe a different camera angle?

Trystl In reply to clay3570 [2014-10-18 21:42:31 +0000 UTC]
Yes, another angle might work. I suspect the reason the more dramatic lighting doesn't work as well for me is because I can't seeΒ what's causing it.

hm, maybe a magic effect behind her?

Trystl In reply to clay3570 [2014-10-18 22:06:18 +0000 UTC]
That was my first thought... but what is the magic being enacted? Magical effect with now magic didn't make sense to me.
