I use polymer clays also but this one just looked different....I thought maybe it was magic sculpt not sure if you ever used it but I just started too its very durable even the smallest pieces do not break after they are dropped...but Im finding it a little hard to work with.

This sculpture is made with Fimo.
Magic sculpt is an epoxy and indeed very very strong. Aves epoxy is something similar. I also use it to fill cracks and fix things. But I never used it to make a full sculpture. Like yourself I find it very hard to work with in comparison to polymer clay. The great advantage though is that you don't have to bake it. But the disadvantage is that you have to work fast because it gets as hard as a stone after 2 hours.

exactly!!! Im not one to finish a whole piece in one sitting so it does have its pros and cons. I do prefer that polymer clays come in a wide variety of color. Im not a big painter so it makes sculpting life alot easier have you ever used paper clay ? I use it on bigger pieces that are covering something like guords or walking sticks. Its an air dry clay and is very very light when dried it can also be sanded only down fall is you also have to paint it when done!!
