Description
Ever since I was maybe 4 or 5 years old I’ve had a recurring dream of being inside this dark concrete space, looking into another room, closed off by a wall-sized pane of glass. Inside is a large floating boulder-looking thing made of something like black obsidian. It pulsates and grows, and presses upon the glass until the glass finally shatters and falls down on me. I still dream this sometimes during the first few minutes of sleep.clayrodery.com

I have had something very similar... It has to do with space and blackness... It starts with a ??thread which suddenly expands out into a monolithic blackness that occupies almost all space... very hard to describe, but sound like your is very similar. kinda.

i so love this... not only because of the art but because of the subject too. i used to have a similar recurring dream. it vanished, unfortunately - haven't had it for years.
could this be your version of that falling sensation people sometimes get when their body is falling asleep but their mind is still semi-awake? it all sounds to me like the "closing" of your consciousness, the subconsciousness wrapping around your self-awareness...

Thanks! I think it definitely is...I seem to have it when there's extra stimuli going on as I'm trying to sleep, like riding in a car. It's really abrasive and disorienting...the pop of the glass is like a bomb going off in my head, and I'll wake up and not know where I am and anxious. It comes with this feeling of smothering

it's probably not the most pleasant feeling for you, but it sounds awesome from your description, heh... like a rollercoaster of sensations. so this might be some short interesting reading for you, then: [link]

Fascinating. Do you know what the black stone is in the dream?

not exactly...i just know it can fill the void. It breaks the glass and then overwhelms the space with itself

Not everyone has the ability to draw their dreams, I can totally see this as one. Great work
