Description
This is one of three characters of our little joke story, EMORIENTATER. Yes, there is an explanation behind the rather bizarr name, and I'll tell it toward the bottom, but for now, more about Devon!

He's the emo boy of EMORIENTATER, and my other friend, Kaitlynn, is drawing up the skater boy and the oriental girl. Those are (obviously) the other two characters, but I intend to do a few pictures of them myself so I can put them up.

Devon, this character, has a pretty funny history in school, and a sort of depressing one outside of school. During school hours, he's that kid who seeks out the bullies and helps their poor victims out of such situations. He puts himself out as a distraction while giving the bullie's originall target a chance to get away. Devon's neither feminine nor masculine, and has focused soley on making himself a fast, long-distance runner, which is essential for his goal during school hours. He still ends up with a pretty massive amount of bruises and potentially broken bones, but that's why he barely attends class, he spends most of his time recooperating in the boy's bathroom. Being that he's what people consider to be a loser who's not only bi, but barely defend himself aside from his rather unmatched running speeds and lengths, he's a target for the bullies as well, so you can bet he get's his share of unwanted attention too.

Outside of school, though, he's stuck living with his dad because his mom was killed in a car accident. No, his dad's not abusive, more or less he's not around much at all, so Devon's learned to take care of himself pretty well. Only problem? He's a drug user and abuser, loves Ecstasy and Acid, he's also shot up a bit of Herion in the past, and he smokes Weed from time to time, though not much since it isn't addictive. He's due for an overdose, and hopefully he'll be able to stop most of his drugs before he actually kills himself. He doesn't exactly have plans for the future, though he does want to be a pro track racer or maybe a sketchist. He never passes his classes, though, so he really isn't all that aspirational.

And now, for the story behind the name EMORIENTATER. My friend and I, who have social studies together, were around her desk at one point and, well, she was wearing an oriental-type top, skater-boy pants and shoes, and emo socks, hair, accessories, etc. I was laughing about it, saying she was emo, oriental, and skater at the same time, which ended in me sounding out a a blended word of all three stereo types in that order Emo Oriental Skater (Emorientater) thus giving us the name we have now.
