Yeah, this is a lovely picture of a Yamabushi leader (23 years) n a Shrine maiden (27 years) ten years after the Anime/Manga series.....
Following the description I gave her, my friend portrayed them perfectly!!

I have always love the way Goki holds Chiaki's hand, you know. This pic is like a tribute to a touching moment in vol 12 when she told him to leave her to rescue granny Saki but he wasn't willing to until she pleaded him with tears in her eyes n he gently covered her hand in his, promising that he would never let her down.

Well...everything was so well-planned by the creators that our beautiful priestess wasn't aware of how much she meant to her Blue Guardian, mainly b/c Goki didn't once say anything that *soppy* when she was around.

The Blue Guardian God's also a whale of an artist, no wonder he feels deeper than other people do.

Furthermore, the Blue Guardian God cried only twice in the Manga, the first time was when realizing his descendant -Shinsenbou- was still alive after fatally wounded by their enemy (vol 7), and the second time was when Chiaki struggled against the wooden statue during the Ultimate Test (vol 9) while all he could only watch powerlessly (remember that scene? He pushed Chiaki out of danger, allowing himself to be seized instead, that's why...

It would be a total LIE if I say this picture is nice. No. It is EXCELLENT!!
I love the blend of light and color surrounding the two lovers when he disclosed the secret from his heart. The BEST part may lie in the way they fixed each other's image in their gaze, as if to engrave the smallest detail forever on their heart.
